IIRC you will need to change to the second options around 30 times for very short intervals, you need to complete one drawing sequence and six 3D 'key puzzles' with a second controller setup and you need a third controller setup to play the harp around fifteen times. You might need to take a look at tutorials like this as a single emulated controller setup is not adequate to complete the entire game.
#ZELDA SKYWARD SWORD WII ROM TUTORIAL PLUS#
I haven't ever bothered to set it up myself so I am not speaking from personal experience, but yes you can emulate the Wiimote Plus to play the game. I assume you have otherwise brought the console and game to extract a legal copy of the ROM to your PC, as otherwise discussing this would be illegal. I think this'd be the go since I really do want to play it but don't want to wait until I have the money to spend to play it the proper way. The first time I finished Twilight Princess was emulating it through dolphin on my shitty old HP computer using only my keyboard and running the game at about 20fps on average, so I think I could manage SS with a Controller even if it's a bit awkward to use at times. I really want to play Skyward Sword as it's the only 3D Zelda game I haven't played yet, but I don't have access to a copy of the game, a Wii or a Wiimote, so I was wondering what yous think about playing with a Controller? A while back I was in a thread on /v/ and they were discussing this, they even provided a text document of a Controller layout that people have used before, using the face buttons as directional buttons for your sword swings (square to swing left, or square and triangle to do a diagonal swing) and some where even arguing this works better than the originally intended motion control gameplay. Not sure if this is the best place to ask but I thought I'd give it a shot.
